PM Gati Shakti – Budget 2022
The AMRITKAL vision for the next 25 years of independence for the completion of 100 years of independence, from India at 75 years of independence to India at 100 years of independence is enhanced by PM Gati Shakti Initiative which is to be driven by 7 engines through technology to facilitate the movement of goods and passengers and get financed by Rs. 20,000 Crore.
The growth engines are supported by Energy Conservation, IT Technology, Bulk Water and Sewage, and Social Infrastructure:
- Roads
Expansion of Express National Highway by 25000 km in the year of 22-23.
- Railways
Urban transport to be connected to the Railways. 2,000 km of the rail network to be brought, for safety and capacity augmentation
- Airports
Expectation to double the aviation station by the year of 2024-25 such as airports, heliports, and water aerodromes by 220
- Ports
Separately, 100 new cargo terminals will also be set up in the next three years
- Mass transport
National Ropeways Development Programme in the Northern Region
- Waterways
Construction of pipelines, pumping up power transmission, and boosting medium and small sector enterprises
- Logistics infra
Contracts for implementation of Multimodal Logistics Parks at four locations through PPP mode will be awarded in 2022-23.
The process of evolution of India as a superpower is going on and in this process infrastructural growth shall pave the path to success.
